Charlie Needs Help!! 5:15PM 5-10-13: We rescued this little dog named Charlie just a few hours ago from a local animal control facility. Unfortunately he is very very sick and is at Nashville Veterinary Specialist (NVS) getting a blood transfusion as we type this note. We knew he needed a little extra love and attention after acting like he was brought in from an abusive situation, but we had no idea he was bleeding internally. The staff at NVS is doing everything they can to get him stable and determine the cause of this bleeding. We have been quoted $1500 to $1800 for the transfusion and testing that he needs. We have already exceeded our budget for extraordinary medical cases for this time of the year and could use your help!
